Announcing Bring Your Own Ranges
Bring Your Own Ranges
It has been a long road but we can finally announce - anyone can now bring their own ranges into OpenComp, all by themselves.
How Does This Work?
OpenComp customers can upload a range file instead of using the range builder. This empowers customers to use their ranges and simultaneously utilize our incredible range management & activation tools for externally built ranges.
Customers can either bring in ranges that were made wholly independent of OpenComp or they can build ranges using multiple strategies on multiple scenarios, then export & combine them into one file, and subsequently can import it into one master scenario.
This features allows customers to upload their ranges with Range Groups specified, and then within the OpenComp workflow, customers can specify which roles apply to which range groups.
What's Cool & New About This?
First, it gives customers more flexibility (but not this kind of flexibility)
This feature brings considerable expansions to our capabilities:
Custom Levels: Users can upload ranges for up to 12 levels, not just six. They'll then be able to benchmark their employees to all of those expanded levels.
Custom Roles: When benchmarking, users will be able to create a new role. That role can then be assigned to a range group, just like any other, and employees can be benchmarked to that role. The new roles will not have data.
Tier-specific ranges: Today we create ranges for multiple Geo/Pay Tiers by applying multipliers to one set of ranges that are created for San Francisco. With this upload feature, users can upload unique ranges for multiple Geo Tiers that are NOT related to one another, so they wont be restricted to multiples of their baseline ranges.
Where Do I Find This?
This feature currently lives in Scenario Settings, under a tab that's called Import Ranges.
