Cycle UI Enhancements & Custom Permissions Oh. My!
This is a big on people. With this release, OpenComp addresses a lot constructive feedback from our customers. Herewith are the updates.
Cycle In-Line Editing
Budget Owners can propose salary and equity increases for their employees directly from the table without clicking into individual employee views. We are working on adding the ability to propose promotions directly from the table as well, and that will come within the month.
New Columns for Cycles
First, we've added a column to the proposal table for Last Equity Grant. It shows the number of shares and the date. Second, in the cycle export file, we've added percent change columns for each component of compensation. That means that you have a column for current salary, salary increase (in dollars), new salary, and now salary increase percent change. The same column was added for commission, target bonus, and equity.
New Filters on Cycle Proposals
Now on a cycle proposal, you can filter the employees by whether they have been reviewed, AND by whether they are above, below, or at their recommended raises!
Mark-as-Reviewed
We've added a new feature to cycles that allows the budget owner to keep track of which employees he or she has explicitly reviewed before submitting the proposal. The budget owner can click a button on the left side of the row to mark an employee as a reviewed, or can click into an employee and propose a raise, and when they return to the proposal page, the employee is considered reviewed.
This allows budget owners to quickly see whether any employees have not been addressed before submitting their proposals. While the budget owner has an unfinished draft, the cycle creator can check their progress, and can see which employees the budget owner still has to look at.
Custom Permissions - Part 1
OpenComp is making ongoing enhancements to Permission Sets within the App.
View Levels of Access & App Abilities: To view users' App Access & Abilities, navigate from to Admin Console to User Permissions. In addition, a comparison button enables a view that shows a side-by-side comparison of all your user types.
With this release, App Admins can now edit the Access & Abilities of your Team Leaders. To do so, click on the Team Leader User Type to specify whether Team Leaders in your company can access market data, can see equity information, or can access demographic information about employees.
