OpenComp's Ranges feature details where employees sit wtihin their salary range, which is an output of an organization's Pay Strategy. In order to use Ranges, you must first .
1. To view where employees sit relative to the Pay Strategy that you created, click Ranges.
2. The main Ranges page provides a high-level overview of where employees sit relative to ranges. From this page, OpenComp customers can drill into department or quartiles views as well as set filters by department, levels, employee type, geos and range groups.
3. For example, clicking into the bar graph that represents the employees below their respective ranges will filter the results to those employees.
4. Clicking on an employee record displays the details for that employee and shows where that individual sits relative to their range.
5. OpenComp provides a very useful view that shows where employees within a department, job type and level sit on the pay range. To access the the view, click into a department.
6. Click 'View ranges' for each displayed Job.
7. The resulting view is one that displays where employees sit on the salary ranage at each Job Type and Level combination. OpenComp displays the Cost to Minimum if there are employees below the range for a given Job Range as well as the average range position of the employees in the Job Range.
8. Expanding a Job Range reveals the individual employees within that Range Group.
9. Clicking on an individual employee reveals where that employee sits in the Job's Range. The thicker vertical line represents where the employee sits on the range group.

12. OpenComp customers can also download there ranges as well as a range-based employee census and keep them past their subscription period. To download, click the download arrow icon and select Employees or Ranges
