This explains how to create a Benchmark employees using OpenComp
Another incredibly useful feature of OpenComp is our AI-powered Benchmarking module. Gone are the days of have to match your employees to an expensive salary survey that comprised roles, levels, and salary data broken down by quartile.
After you import your employees and with the click of a few buttons, the application will map your employees to the OpenComp Benchmark. Using AI, the application levels your employees and maps them to normalized Job Roles within our Job Architecture.
Then, using a familiar step-driven process, OpenComp allows you to confirm the Job Roles and Levels to which the application mapped your employees.
To complete the Benchmarking process, navigate to Scenario Settings.
Click the Gear Icon to go Scenario Settings
Step 2: Review Employees
Then, select the Benchmarking (highlight 1 in the image below). Once you do that, OpenComp may prompt you to review employees that the application could not auto-magically map to a role and level (highlight 2 below). This happens when employees' titles don't match similar roles in our benchmark (some organizations take a unique approach to job titles). The element highlighted as 4 are editable fields from which to select appropriate Benchmark Roles and Levels.

Step 3: Make Selections
Select the appropriate Benchmark Roles and Levels from the pulldowns.
Select the correct Roles & Levels
Step 4: Confirm Selections
After adjusting Roles & Levels, comfirm your selections.
Click the check-boxes and the confirm button to confirm selections
Step 5: Review Confirmed Selections
You might want to double-check that auto-magical mappings are correct. If not, you can modify the Roles and Levels in the same manner as in Step 2 above.
